Murcia export the Holy Spirit Urban Initiative to the rest of Europe European Technical Program presented the initiative "Pathways of Knowledge 'in Ravello Lab 2010 (25/11/2010)

Murcia exported urban initiative Holy Spirit to the rest of Europe.

The project's director, Rosa Martínez, presented the project at an international conference in the Italian city of Ravello describing the experience "Paths of knowledge" that began with the work of the Urban Lab Espinardo this summer.

This conference has been held in Ravello Lab 2010 Congress developed under the general theme "Development of culture: creativity, growth, social inclusion. Urban policies for regional competitiveness, and organized by Federculture, the European Centre for Cultural Formez Italy and the organization of which came from the young Italian architects who were part of the team that carried out the experience.

The activity of "Paths of Knowledge" set the goal that the residents participate with your thoughts and suggestions on improving the living conditions of the neighborhood, to make it an attractive space for themselves.

Note that Paths of Knowledge is an activity designed and developed jointly between the city of Murcia and Formez, Center for Italian Studies and Research, under the training project "50 young people in Europe" focused on the programming of Community policies especially in regard to the objectives of regional development policy.

During the months of June and July, the city of Murcia hosted three architects of that trainees who have participated in project design and development activity "Paths of Knowledge", the development of a map of "invisible "area of action.

The architects-Luigi Longobardo, Gabriella Rendina and Roberta Garbin, action designed "Paths of Knowledge" and are involved throughout the process to citizens, while they have become sources of this information in another EU country Europe.

The performance of "Paths of Knowledge" has been characterized by a participatory methodology.

Consists in conducting tours of the neighborhood, from different routes, on different days and times, groups of people of all ages equipped with cameras and field worksheets to collect the positive, neutral and negative effects of neighborhood and as sensations and emotions that represent those areas with the aim, among other things, design a map of perceptions, "adding to the physical elements of emotional imprint they produce in people.
