The Planning Department maintains on its website, since 2008, all information in the General Urban Plan of Murcia (Plan).
In this way, a pioneer in Spain, any citizen can access the plans and the rules governing all projects and urban initiatives in the municipality.
But you had to go a step further.
A year ago, Urban launched one of its most ambitious projects to place Murcia at the head of the Spanish cities in terms of information across the network.
This is the introduction to the Internet for all projects, initiatives, documents, drawings and photographs that focus the work of this municipal service.
The project will be available for use by different services of the City Council this December and throughout 2011 will begin to develop services based on their functionality (geolocation Heritage Service parcels, street again, PGOU in GIS, orthophotos, Fire , Police, etc ...).
Concerning the instruments of development planning and management, has scanned the entire file Urban Information (both flat and documentation of projects approved and in force) and has been internally developing a Web application that allows access to the content of these projects both authorized officials and by citizens via the Internet.
This is the first fully digital file and link the information in its application of records management through document management, and including also in paper records, bar codes and radio frequency tags (RFID) so that controls which document leaves or enters the file and if you have previously authorized the movement, giving an alarm when trying to get the file record if not authorized.
It also has a mobile terminal that can locate files in any office that may be just passing by in the folder, to inventory or security issues.
The file continues to grow day by day with the addition of new records and scanned blueprints, and right now there are a total 87,890 files with a total storage size of 1,372 GB, and an area of 12,283 m2 digitized paper.
Besides planning information can be obtained in person or electronically, you can make an appointment by electronic means and can do many procedures electronically.
