Councilwoman Adela Martinez-Cache receive this afternoon in Madrid Correspondents Prize awarded to Aguas de Murcia by the Stewards Foundation, recently established by the publisher MediaResponsables.
The Foundation recognizes and Water Project Murcia SBMA, which is a process that allows the sustainable use of biogas generated in sewage treatment plants by selective removal of urban pollutants.
The project SBMA is an innovative solution that minimizes the consumption of natural resources, reduces carbon dioxide emissions, and also emits no sulfur dioxide or harmful byproducts.
In its first edition, the Awards Stewards have received 526 nominations and were awarded to 15 organizations in the categories of large companies, SMEs, governments and public and nonprofit organizations.
In selecting the winners have involved a Technical Committee formed by a group of 12 consultants in Social Responsibility, and a jury of 15 renowned scholars and politicians in the field of Social Responsibility and Sustainability.
Creativity, innovation, initiative alignment with the core activity of the entity, sustainability and the contribution of value to its stakeholders are the main criteria taken into account in the selection of the winners.
The ceremony, held at 19 am in the Mapfre Convention Center on Avenida General Perón in Madrid, will be chaired by the Minister of the Presidency, Ramon Jauregui
