The Murcia able to contribute their suggestions to the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for a period of three months (17/11/2010)

The Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan is now available to Murcia for them to make contributions and suggestions.

So begins a process which includes the principle of participatory democracy because what is sought is publicly exposing this plan is the result of citizen participation and consensus.

So for three months, Murcia will analyze the Sustainable Mobility Plan will be available today on the municipal website muevetemurcia.es.

The questions, contributions or suggestions can be made both in the City Clerk as on this website.

Once this period of public exhibition, the municipal officers in the plan include appropriate suggestions.

This is the last step before final approval of the Plan Move.

In this way, and as announced by Mayor Miguel Angel House last week, all information is now known entities, users, groups, associations or individuals who wish to make suggestions and concerns, which will incorporate the necessary corrections to the Plan.

Remember that this Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan has been submitted to local political groups and the presidents of municipal boards.

The move plan is a revolutionary new model of urban transport for the XXI century.

The Plan aims to integrate urban development and territorial mobility to facilitate the accessibility of citizens to its activities with the least environmental impact and safely as possible.

The proposals will be developed in the short term (2011 -2014), medium term (year 2014 - 2018) and long term (2018 - 2022).

Thus, the Plan proposes to create an integrated transport network and intermodal offering for the change of more than forty lines connections and bus transport.

It also includes the construction of three tram lines, the implementation of a clean express bus that will link the Floridablanca Garden and the Circular Plaza, the creation of exchangers that serve to link and coordinate the various public transport.

The Plan also envisages the exchange location of parking (spaces where it will be possible to park private vehicles at different points of the edges of the city, so that citizens can use public transport), the creation of zones traffic calm (with speed limit to 30 km / I implementation of speed bumps to prevent the increase in vehicle speed and provide continuity to the pedestrian crossings and sidewalk) and simplifying the tariff structure.
