A week of activities to commemorate the smaller Rights Storytelling, theater, workshops, sports, exhibitions and dance are some of the activities organized. (15/11/2010)

Education in values is the priority objective of all activities are few along Commemoration Week on the Rights of the Child to be held from 15 to 21 November.

Must be transmitted to all citizens, both adults and younger children, the need to have values and attitudes that foster respect for others, the need for harmonious social coexistence, in particular a special sensitivity to attend and care for children properly, claiming the defense of their rights.

The Department of Health and Social Services City of Murcia, who heads Fulgencio Cervantes, has organized a new week commemorating the Rights of the Child, which will involve the collaboration and support of 36 associations working with and for Children in the municipality.

Under this year will be the Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted by the UN General Assembly on November 20, 1989, urging parents, men and women, organizations, local authorities and national governments to recognize these rights and strive for their observance by legislative means and other measures progressively adapted in accordance with the following principles: IGULADAD, PRIVACY, IDENTITY, QUALITY OF LIFE GROUPS, LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING, EDUCATION, RELIEF, COMPLAINT, SOLIDADRIDAD AND PARTICIPATION.

This year we have strengthened some of the activities being developed in previous years, children's party, children's theater, storytelling, information point, activities in neighborhoods and villages.

The activities will be developed over the week are:

Information Point, located in the Plaza de Santo Domingo from Monday 15 to Friday 19 November, from 11 to 14 and from 17 to 20 hours, Saturday November 21 to 14 hours

Children's Theatre: Throughout the week is represented plays for children in El Palmar, Valladolises and Lobosillo.

Storytelling: be made in the Arboleja storytelling, the Ranero and Lobosillo.

Children's Party: In the Garden Silk, at 11 pm, Sunday, November 21, entertainment activities will take place on stage.

Climbing wall and will be held 22 workshops organized by different associations Children working with the council.

Child plenary to be held on Friday 19 in the Meeting Room of City Hall, organized by Education and Youth, which will be attended about 200 students from four schools in the municipality:

- CEIP José Martínez Tornel (Patiño)

- CEIP San Pablo (Murcia)

- CEIP Nicolás de las Peñas (Nonduermas)

- College Mirasierra (Torreagüera)

Also, Saturday, November 20 at the Plaza de Santo Domingo, will be a public display of the Rights of the Child at 12 am, represented by Pupaclown, which will teach children's rights 10 Children.

Other activities to be developed are:

- Exhibition of photographs and crafts on the Rights.

- Workshops intergenerational plates, development of tools, the world's games and crafts.

- Murals groups made by children.

- Gynkanas, batucada (percussion music).

- Theatrical performances, sports activities, etc.
