The analysis of the toxicity of metallic elements in natural resources has been one of the objects of study with a major European PhD defended at the School of Chemistry, University of Murcia by Eduardo Laborda Ochando.
This research, which has obtained excellent cum laude, has also analyzed the processes of assimilation and release of these materials.
The doctoral thesis has focused on the application of electrochemical techniques for obtaining information about species and chemical reactions in very diverse systems and has led to a score of publications in international journals with high impact.
This research has been directed by professors María Angeles Gómez and Francisco Martínez Molina Ortiz and tried by a court who took part, along with three Spanish teachers, Richard G.
Compton, Oxford University, and Christian A.
Amatore, the School of Paris.
