In order to present the characteristics of birds that populate the Espinardo Campus, will be held tomorrow Saturday, November 6, a day of bird ringing.
This is an experiential education experience that tries to account for the diversity in this environment and provide a stimulus for awareness of biodiversity conservation.
The activity is part of the events planned to mark the International Year for Biological Diversity 2010 and is organized by the department of Science and Technology, University of Murcia.
Will be led by biologist Jacinto Martinez, and shall offer explanations on the different communities of birds that inhabit the Campus de Espinardo.
As will capture species, they will explain the various biometric measures are taken to the bird, gender differences, determination of molt, phenomenology, age, types of rings marking.
The experiment was carried out at the back of the Faculty of Biology, Campus de Espinardo, and is aimed at anyone interested in birds, no age limit.
