Holy Angel's public housing serves 17 children in the Albatalía (02/11/2010)

So far this year, the residence Sant'Angelo, dedicated to the protection of children in care by the Community of Murcia, has served 32 children in the form of medium-long stay in the hamlet of La Albatalía Murcia, said this afternoon the Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, the group of deputies of the Regional Assembly, members of the Commission for Health and Social Policy, who accompanied him on his visit to this center, under the regional administration.

In the residence, which holds 17 seats, is currently admitted 12 boys and 5 girls who are under protective measures to guard or guardianship situations of abuse, sexual abuse, abandonment, neglect or other indicators of distress.

During the past year 22 children were treated.

Of the 17 children living, 12 have standard schooling and the rest receive proper education to their behavioral needs and mental health.

Their ages range from 6 to 15 years, and most are Spanish, but there are also born in Ecuador, Morocco, Bulgaria, Colombia and Algeria.

His stay in the center can be extended to meet the majority.

The module is located in a detached house with garden cottage in the hamlet type Murcia La Albatalía.

All children are served by 23 professionals, among which are seven teachers, a psychologist, a social worker and ten technical assistants education.

At today's visit, committed by the Minister in his recent appearance at the Regional Assembly to explain the 'Temporary Foster Care Program', was also the CEO of Family, Gender and Children, Laura Muñoz.
