Murcia City Council, through the Department of Tourism, Maria Isabel Valcárcel directing, and Development Cooperation, headed by Beatriz Hontoria will participate in a project to create a tourism consortium in Ecuador with the aim of promoting the country , as discussed in the Municipal Council for Cooperation and Solidarity.
This initiative is conducted through the Program with the municipalities in Ecuador Aecid.
The meeting was chaired by Beatriz Hontoria and attended by representatives of local political groups and NGOs for Development Cooperation Vincentian, Fundación Nuevo Sol, Makua Association, UNESCO Centre of Murcia, and Blue Fire in Action in Action.
Furthermore, it has become aware of the activities to provide assistance to those affected by earthquakes in Haiti and Chile, the visit to Paraguay for Councilwoman Beatrice Hontoria for the opening of several schools and performances held on the occasion of Aid Worker , among which the opening of an exhibition, organizing a charity concert and visits to several schools in the borough offering talks on cooperation.
Also approved the renewal of the agreement with the Association Paz Vacations, which offers the possibility of temporarily hosting families Murcia Saharawi children during the summer months.
These children live in refugee camps in Tindouf (Algeria).
