Ecologists in Action brought before the Prosecutor an illegal dump in Canadas de San Pedro (Murcia) (27/10/2010)

Ecologists in Action has filed a complaint with the Office of Environment and Planning of the Autonomous Region for the existence of a massive illegal dump on the site of Cabezo de la Plata, in Canadas de San Pedro (Murcia).

The landfill, operated by a merchant in San Pedro del Pinatar, without a permit, and ceased operations in March this year after more than six years of uncontrolled dumping of all types of waste. A closure was forced by the numerous complaints and complaints from environmental organizations and neighbors of the landfill.

The landfill Cañadas de San Pedro has an area of approximately 100,000 square meters, and discharges also affect the nearby boardwalk Blacksmiths.
