Murcia City Council urges calm service with an investment of 1.8 billion euros.
The Board of Governors approved the specifications for this service, since the previous grant of calm is coming to an end.
The service will continue in the same areas and with the same conditions.
The new contract will last one year, extendable another.
Once approved the contract documents, will open a period for companies to submit bids and create a technical committee formed by Employment, Citizen Information and Local Police, who will consider the proposals, taking into account the quality of the project, improvements financial and economic downturn.
The specification provides that the company will have a place to receive and coordinate warnings, and that such personnel are uniformed and easily identifiable by the public.
Serene service is present in the Barrio del Carmen (14 watchmen) and Los Garres (7 Serena) since 2007.
In 2008 was extended to the center of Murcia (13 serene), El Palmar (17 watchmen) and Sucina (8 watchmen).
In total 59 serene work, and an administrative coordinator.
The shifts are 8 hours, at night, every day of the year.
The serene perform services to neighboring communities, local and shop owners, the general public and public services such as content review, support from neighbors and / or passers-by to your home, pharmacies, ATMs, health centers, emergency; gates close neighboring communities, warning alarms, checking lighting in stores, ads for damage, theft notification and provide information to citizens on restaurants, bars, pharmacies, shops, etc..
And collaboration with the National Police and the Local, notice and cooperation with fire and ambulance, and attention to vehicles parked on the street.
