The Solidarity Bus has finished its tour this year collected a total of 1,480 kilos of clothes, food, footwear, toys and other material donated by the Deserted Jesus Murcia.
The Solidarity Bus is part of the initiatives undertaken to celebrate the European Mobility Week, organized by the Municipality of Murcia through the Local Agency for Energy and Climate Change Murcia (ALEM) and in collaboration with Latbus.
This bus has toured different parts of the county (market places, associations, municipal boards, etc.) For citizens to donate those clothes, objects and foods that are not needed.
They are combining environmental issues, sustainable mobility and solidarity.
The Murcia bus have placed in the clothing, footwear, blankets, quilts, textbooks, children's books, encyclopedias, toys, bicycles, baby carriages and all sorts of non-perishable food for the purpose of helping the needy.
All the collected material has been delivered to Jesus Forsaken, which offers help to people in distress and take action to promote social inclusion and prevent situations of risk.
