Young Murcia become 'Ecolíderes' to protect the environment and combat climate change The project involves students from Portugal, Italy, Finland, Slovakia, Estonia and Austria will be put forward projects and initiatives designed by young pe (01/10/2010)

A project funded by the European Union then young Murcia in 'Ecolíderes' in order to preserve the environment, helping other young people to conserve energy and influence their environment to protect the environment and combat climate change.

A network of Youth Volunteer Scheme to boost outreach, awareness and information in their environment.

This network joins' Volunteering for the Planet ", created by the Local Energy Agency of the City of Murcia (ALEM).

This is the international project 'Youth eColideramos' organized by the departments of Environment and Urban Quality, and Education and Youth, supported by CAM, CEMACAM, Directorate General of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, Environmental Volunteer Program, Red Classroom Nature, schools and associations in the municipality's Youth Environmental and municipality, and the support of the Youth in Action Programme of the European Commission.

They also participate the following European organizations:

The project is to train young people across Europe who have a change of attitudes and behaviors to involve others in their environment in order to protect the environment.

This initiative will benefit 80 young people and 40 facilitators and leaders.

To train young people will be held 3 international, 14 local activities in Murcia and 14 activities in each of the participating European cities you project.

The first phase involves the dissemination of the project in each of the participating cities.

In the municipality of Murcia is present 'eColideramos Youth' to schools and youth groups.

In each school shall be a contact person and schools will make a choice among students interested in becoming leaders, forming a group of students.

To publicize the project's progress will be a web page, blog, conferences, meetings and presentations to youth.

The starting point is an International Seminar on Exchange of Good Practice which will include representatives of all European cities participating in the project, to share experiences on environmental projects driven by young people.

Will be held from 6 to 10 October in the Local Development Agency of the City of Murcia and CEMACAM.

The Councillors Adela Martinez-cache, and María Dolores Sánchez, will present the wide range of good environmental practices implemented in the municipality.

Youth groups set up in schools receive environmental training from October 2010 to April 2011.

Learn how to make projects, environmental volunteer, leadership and teamwork and conduct case studies.

Several courses will be held in their schools, in the Hall Arboretum of the Valley, and Nature's Classroom Stables.

Students are divided into groups that present environmental projects.

Select three projects to be put into practice and receive grants from the City of Murcia.

Young people who have made non-awarded projects have advice for submission to the Spanish National Agency and ensure the implementation thereof, to perform many and varied initiatives.

In addition, there will be an international youth exchange in CEMACAM in April 2011, with the assistance of all youth in the participating cities' eColideramos Youth. "
