Pedro Lopez is officially proclaimed the PSOE candidate for Mayor of Murcia (25/09/2010)

The secretary general of the PSOE in the municipality of Murcia, Pedro Lopez, has been officially declared as a candidate for mayor of Murcia in the upcoming municipal elections in May 2011.

Lopez was nominated unanimously by the Municipal Executive Committee and the absence of any other candidate in the timing of collection of endorsements, has proceeded to its final designation.

Pedro Lopez has shown excited about leading the socialist project and stressed that "the PSOE is more prepared than ever to offer an alternative government that puts the city in the position that truly belongs in Spain and Europe."

According to Pedro Lopez, "is necessary to return to the Government of the Socialist Party of the City of Murcia because the Socialists were the real transformers of the town during his years in office while the Popular Party has been devoted to live off the income and pursue a patching policy in a district that wanders. "

The PSOE candidate for Mayor of Murcia has also advanced its project will be based on regaining public participation because "the Socialists do not understand democracy as an appointment every four years, to reduce the serious imbalance between the downtown and the suburbs and hamlets and providing a model of efficient public transport can meet the real needs of residents.

In addition, Pedro López considered essential to implement new forms of political participation that progress in decentralization and proposed the direct election of village headman in the next election from the third urn.

The socialist candidate understands "Murcia needs new leadership and new equipment to be able to delude its citizens in times of economic crisis."

Lopez is convinced that "they want a municipality Murcia no difference, participatory, sustainable, Mediterranean" and is convinced that "victory can only come by listening to citizens to design the Murcia we all want for our children."
