The Mayor stressed that the new headquarters of the AECC in Murcia will continue the "extraordinary work of the association" Miguel Ãngel Cámara attends the opening of the facility, built on a plot donated by the City Council (23/09/2010)

The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, has shown today "fully satisfied" to see that the Spanish Association Against Cancer will now have a new venue that will allow them to continue the extraordinary work they perform.

The building, which was inaugurated today by President of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, and the president of the AECC in the Region of Murcia, Agustin Navarrete, qualifies for professionals and volunteers to exercise their function in a better facilities than before.

The headquarters, located at Rua Miguel Vivanco, Santiago and Zaraíche, is built on a plot of almost one thousand square meters was sold for this purpose by the City.

The estimated land value exceeds 1.8 million euros.

The plot, obtained from the management of this urban expansion area of the city, has great access because it will have a tram stop just 100 meters away.

The opening ceremony has been attended by numerous members and volunteers, as well as the president of the National Executive Council of the association, Isabel Oriol, and the President of CajaMurcia, Carlos Egea.
