The Children's Traffic Park hits the streets to mark the Week of Mobility (22/09/2010)

The Children's Traffic Park hits the streets on the occasion of the European Mobility Week, organized by the city of Murcia and the Local Agency for Energy and Climate Change.

Yesterday was in the hamlet of Patiño and is now in the square of the Apostles, in the center of the city.

More than 200 schoolchildren from schools Tornel José Martínez CP, CEP and Centro de Estudios CEI S and CP Cierva Peñafiel participate in this event organized by the Department of Education and Youth, directed by María Dolores Sánchez.

Mobile Park is open from 9.30 to 13 hours for schools, and in the afternoon, during office hours from 17 to 19 hours for the general public.

The participating children were presented with a shirt and a commemorative plate.

With this activity, which increases the performances given to schools in the municipality for the 2010-2011 academic year are to improve the knowledge of schoolchildren about the damage caused to urban mobility in the environment, using as a resource to the private car cycling, walking and public transport.

It also shows students the direct negative impact of urban pollution (noise, pollution, stress ...).

In the circuit has been organized for the Mobility Week is expected to smallest:

- Learn the basic rules of road safety education.

- Encourage play group.

- Choose appropriate sites for use and bicycle riding.

- Know the rules and signals relating to the conduct of the bicycle.

- Develop a sense of responsibility, referring to the bicycles driving and be aware of potential danger (risk perception).

- Knowing this vehicle as a means to sustainable mobility, while it is healthy

Children's drawing contest

All infant and primary schools of the municipality may participate can join the drawing contest II exhibit in their work would your ideal bike and your bike could travel around the world.

All centers and Primary municipality have been sent a letter inviting them to participate in the contest, which is the deadline for submission of drawings from 16 September to 30 October.

Awards were established four categories, Primary First Cycle, Second Cycle and Primary Primary Third Cycle.

Be awarded to three students per class.

With the twelve winning entries will be a calendar for 2011.

The drawings must be original, with original theme and technical, material and style free.
