The Pilgrimage of the Virgin of Fuensanta has the highest participation in recent years (16/09/2010)

"La Feria de Murcia September 2010 has come to an end and the balance has been more than positive."

This was said today the responsibility of Festivals and Popular Culture, Rafael Gomez, after meeting the participation data in over 150 events organized for this year from 2 to 14 September.

Undoubtedly, the Pilgrimage of Our Lady of the Fuensanta, on Tuesday 14 September, has been one of the more participatory acts as an estimated 600,000 people joined the Virgin on his pilgrimage to his shrine in the Fuensanta.

After the pilgrimage, the concerts held in various parts of Murcia have been a huge success.

About 30,000 people attended the concerts.

Undoubtedly, Chayanne concert held at the old stadium Condomina, welcomed more than 10,000 people, making it the largest share, followed by Murcia's Eve Concert of the Pilgrimage in New Condomina.

Other concerts with great influx were: Bug, Butterfly Effect and the Guard, and The Consortium.

In Fair attractions Fica public attendance figures held last year (about 500,000).

In this sense, children's activities (some of them were performed for the first time this year), which were held in different parts of the city, have also seen significant participation.

In the gardens of the Malecon, the number of visitors has been increasing as the days were passing, reaching a mass visit in the last five days.

About 300,000 people have visited the gardens, the Wine and Food Fair, and the Camp of the Moors and Christians.

Lemon Pop Festival has also been an important indicator of participation over the four days of performances.

According to data from last year, the participation this year was almost similar to that of the 2009 edition.

Murcia Pyrotechnics is the company that has won first prize at the I Festival Fireworks which was organized on the occasion of the Feria de Murcia.

Of note is the high participation in the survey conducted by the City of Murcia through the web murcia.es, in which there have been 1,820 total votes so far.

Although Murcia Fair 2010 comes to an end with the rise of the patron saint of Murcia to her shrine in the mountains, it is noted that in the coming days will continue celebrated acts such as: bullfighting, bull appetizers, concerts and Roots Music Festival.
