Murcia City Council, through the Department of Social and Health Services, which runs Fulgencio Cervantes, financing activities of Community interest, which include several projects aimed at children and young people, specifically the Municipal Centre of Social Services "Murcia Sur" is developing within their projects a football-table workshop offered by the Federation of Murcia table football players since 1996 in the Barrio de los Rosales, in the hamlet of El Palmar.
This is a consolidated workshop in time for the permanence of children in this activity, the addition of new children and youth annually and produced the highly motivated in part by the projection of the activity outside the district through tournaments regional, national and world are held.
Three young men from El Palmar, aged between 17 and 19 years of age (residents of Barrio de Los Rosales) win the World Cup runner-Mesa Under-19 teams, held in Rain (Germany) last order week.
The final result of their differences to Holland was 3-1.
José Antonio Gómez Ros, a resident of Los Rosales get the world championship Under-19 category after defeating Italian component.
Monitor football workshop in Los Rosales, Juan Carlos Granados, has become a world champion in the individual category of veterans. Similarly, Carlos Flores, won the world championship in Open category.
The Social Services Centre Murcia Sur as positive development of such projects, considering education as leisure time, as these workshops, allowing the intellectual enrichment of children and youth, especially, provides a space where new generations communicate, interact with other social contexts, learn, play and have fun and they are the protagonists of their actions.
