Schools ready for more than 70,000 students begin their classes in the municipality as of tomorrow (12/09/2010)

More than 70,000 pupils in the municipality will start their classes from tomorrow, Monday 13 September, to their schools ready for a new academic year.

Murcia City Council has completed works have been carried out in summer in more than 21 schools.

Exterior and interior paint, flooring and firm matching, replacement of windows and shutters, adequacy of patios, fences conditioning, adequacy of drainage networks, and installation of Timed and aerator faucets to save water, are some of the works conducted in schools.

The investment has been over 2.5 million euros.

- CEIP Pablo Gil Castillo, El Puntarrón (Sangonera la Seca).

- CEIP Los Alamos (Murcia).

- CEIP Maestro José Castaño (Murcia).

- CEIP Sacred Heart, main building, Zeneta (Murcia).

- CEIP Infante Juan Manuel (Murcia).

- CEIP Contraparada (Javalí New).

- Pedro Martínez Chacas CEIP (Boatmen).

- CEIP Angel Zapata (Torreagüera).

- CEIP San José de Calasanz (Stables).

- CEIP Carolina Codorniu (Churra).

- CEIP Santa Rosa de Lima (El Palmar).

- Narciso Yepes CEIP (Murcia).

- CEIP Ciudad La Paz (El Palmar).

- CEIP Pedro Pérez Abbey (Espinardo).

- CEP Monteazahar (Beniaján).

- CEIP Mariano Aroca (Murcia).

- CEIP Antonio Díaz (The Garres).

In addition, there have been two projects to adapt two classrooms for extracurricular activities, and conditioning room and the kitchen in the CEIP Salzillo, in the neighborhood of the Holy Spirit Espinardo, with an investment of 70,675 euros and financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Urban Plan.

Have also made minor repairs to school, as adjustment of yards (in 12 schools), repair of leaks, adequacy of fencing, replacement of sills and floors, adequacy of the sewerage system, arrangement of toilets, etc..

These works have an investment of 233,000 euros and are funded by the City.

- CEIP Saavedra Fajardo (Algezares)

A works in the schools mentioned above must be added the work carried out jointly between the city and region.
