Persons with disabilities will be announced on how they have violated their rights as citizens in a course at the Universidad Internacional del Mar.
With the title "school of life within the social model of disability. The International Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities", the course will analyze the significance of the International Convention for people with disability as a human rights issue .
Renowned experts will study and discuss the implications of this Convention in the group of people with disabilities.
In the course of this initiative will be presented the Guide to the convention of people with disabilities, sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Down Spain, which has been developed by a group of people with disabilities from institutions of the National Network of Schools Life, coordinated by the Down Syndrome Foundation of the Region of Murcia.
The course, which will take place in Eagles from 6 to 10 September, is directed by Professor of the University of Murcia Nuria Illán Romeu.
The activity will last 30 hours, and those students who apply are eligible for 3 free credits.
