About 65,000 people visited the exhibition organized to mark the centenary of the birth of Gaya in the first half (01/09/2010)

In October it will open four more exhibitions in Valencia, Rome and Murcia on the figure of the author

The balance of the first half of the year commemorating the centenary of the birth of Ramón Gaya provides important results that reveal the great public interest in the universal figure of the painter Murcia.

This program began in January with the exhibition 'Life and creation' in the City Museum, a collection of paintings, writings, documents and seeking to have the life of a man like Ramón Gaya.

This programming dedicated to Gaya has included exhibitions in Rome, Valencia, Madrid and Murcia, all cities are closely linked to the painter's life, "Burgos and Caravaca de la Cruz, coinciding with the celebration of Holy Year, in addition to holding a international conference where leading experts discussed the figure of the artist.

At fifteen activities organized during the first six months of this year attended by almost 65,000 people, excluding those who have visited the exhibition 'Landscapes of Ramón Gaya', at the IVAM in Valencia, which has not yet completed.

Of these samples, the most visited have been 'near Gaya' and 'Portrait of Ramón Gaya', in the temporary room Ramón Gaya Museum, and The Silence of the art 'in the Cathedral of Burgos. "

In the exhibition "Ramón Gaya closely" were photographs by the artist's wife, Isabel Verdejo, while "Portrait of Ramón Gaya '(April-June) brought together an extensive collection of portraits by Gaya throughout his life .

In this exhibition has further documentation, photographs and books that help show the development of artistic stages Gaya and his career as creator.

This exhibition will visit the Hall of Culture Cajamurcia in Valencia next October to December.
