237 youth benefit from foreign trade during the summer (17/08/2010)

Learn languages, learn about other cultures and interact with other young people is the goal of youth exchanges in the Department of Education and Youth, who are already enjoying 237 young Murcia.

This summer we are making 31 exchanges in Germany, Finland, Czech Republic, Italy, Slovakia, Turkey, France, Poland, Morocco, Luxembourg, Malta, Estonia, Portugal and Belgium.

With topics as varied as Europe, nature, dance, art, environment, eco-citizenship, 26 th International Music Week in Luxembourg, European II Cultural Week in Germany, European flavors, archeology, photography and adventure, among many others.

The young participants aged between 13 and 25 years.

This is theme stays in different countries, sharing activities and youth living with other cities.

This program is no exchange of young families, unless participating in youth meetings on projects sponsored by the Program and Youth Exchange European Projects of the City of Murcia and municipalities or other entities.

The Department of Education and Youth, directed by María Dolores Sánchez, offers 25 seats this summer than last year (11.79% more), and Morocco has joined the countries where there is an exchange, the project 'green works '.

The exchanges have an approximate duration of one week and are being held now, during the months of June, July and August.

The aim of the youth exchange program is to foster knowledge of EU countries through the relationship between young people, encourage the practice of languages, possibility to exchange ideas on topics of interest to youth.

Likewise, young people from other countries improve their knowledge of Spain and Murcia, and practice Spanish.
