Alarcón: "The commitment of the Government of Spain with Murcia is firm: over 121 million, 4,700 jobs and 241 projects" (12/08/2010)

Socialist spokeswoman, Maria José Alarcón, takes stock of what has made the Local Investment Plan (Plan E) in areas as diverse as employment, social and educational policies and road infrastructure

PSOE spokeswoman, Maria Jose Alarcon, said today that the care and treatment of the Government of Spain with Murcia is a truism.

"A sample more than clear that the Socialists are investing in our town in such important areas as employment and social policies and education."

Thus, Alarcón stated that through the Local Investment Fund (Plan E), the Murcia Town Hall has received in 2009 and 2010 a total of € 121,389,321.79 which have served to finance a total of 241 projects and create 4,702 jobs.

Social spending

In this regard, the Socialist spokesman highlighted a key issue as the money spent, more than 9 million euros to social spending.

In this way more than 3 ½ million euros (€ 3,700,000) are being invested in the home help service to 2,200 users are benefiting, as well as the 4 million who are devoted to cleaning and maintenance of public schools in the municipality.

Infrastructure

As communication infrastructures, Alarcon has also highlighted the work being pursued with the ZP Fund and, without doubt, are transforming the municipal environment.

Just highlight the extension of the road connecting Sangonera La Seca Sangonera La Verde (€ 5,372,000), the roundabout at Juan Carlos I, northern access to the University of Murcia (€ 3,646,700), splitting the access bridge New Condomina area (1.649.000E) bike path between the Pier and the Contraparada, 8 kilometers (2.347.000E) as well as a roundabout in Paseo Florence, in the neighborhood Ronda Sur and two roundabouts in the industrial area San Ginés.

Cultural and social centers
