The scientist of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Seattle (USA), Diego Rodriguez Arcas, an international expert on tsunamis, will speak tomorrow, day 3 on this phenomenon in the conference which will open the series "Looking Sea ", organized by the University of Murcia and is held in Eagles.
Arcas Rodriguez will speak on "Tsunamis and warning systems, tsunamis in the Mediterranean."
The speaker is head of the numerical modeling of tsunamis in the NOAA, which has investigated the propagation of waves to give a practical use and perform simulations on the effects of these and appropriate responses for evacuation.
The event will run from 20:00 pm in the Hall of Mirrors at the Casino de Aguilas.
The series "Watching the Sea" is directed by Professor of the University of Murcia and Vice President for Research Juan María Vázquez, also the joint direction of Professor José Asensio, head of the permanent site of this university at this seaside resort.
