Still open the deadline for submitting proposals to the Business Project Competition (01/08/2010)

Support the implementation of business and job creation is one of the main objectives of the City of Murcia, which calls through the Department of Employment, Civil Protection and Development Cooperation, the eighteenth edition of the Business Project Competition.

The deadline for submissions for this contest is open until 17 September.

The objective of this contest is to promote entrepreneurship, financial support and scholarships for training, rewarding innovative projects that create jobs, says the City Council for Employment, Civil Protection and Development Cooperation, Beatriz Hontoria.

Participation in this event all natural or legal persons whose activities are conducted in the municipality of Murcia.

Projects can not be started before 31 August 2009 and may be related to any sector or economic activity.

You can also submit projects for expansion of businesses already established, always to increase the staffing of employees.

Applications must be submitted in the Register of the City (square of the Apostles).

Participants must present their project to a jury to assess the level of development, difficulty of the project, rather than implementation, innovation and job creation.

In addition, there will be a personal interview with each applicant to establish their qualifications, work experience / professional knowledge of the product / market, knowledge of the activities / processes and motivation.

The City will provide 40,000 euros in prize money, which will be allocated exclusively to the implementation or expansion of business project.

The first prize is worth a maximum of 20,000 euros, or more than 10% of the total expenditure required for the formation of the company during the first year and a scholarship of 3,600 euros to attend the Master Course in Business ( MBA) from the University-Enterprise.

The second prize is a maximum of 13,000 euros, or a maximum of 4% of total expenditure required for the formation of the company during the first year and a scholarship of 1,500 euros for the current Small Business Management-University Foundation company.

The third prize is worth 7,000 euros, or up to 2% of total expenditure required for the formation of the company during the first year. The jury may vary the amounts of the awards, in terms of winning business plans.

The jury is chaired by the Councillor for Employment, Civil Protection and Development Cooperation, and composed of one representative from each municipal group, CROEM representative of the Association of Social Economy of the Region of Murcia, Union Worker Cooperatives, Association of Young Entrepreneurs, CCOO, UGT, University-Enterprise, Business and Professional Women Association, Association of Young Farmers, a representative of the winners in this contest in previous years and two technicians Department.

The verdict will be announced before December 31, 2010.
