The full City Council unanimously approved a joint motion for the Planning Department to initiate a study on the status of the Special Plans under the General Plan, and are particularly difficult to develop, given the number of dwellings in the area or other circumstances.
The report will determine the need to implement such Special Plans.
The goal is that by the end of the year to submit the study to the Planning Advisory Board to draft a program and develop appropriate planning tools that allow the development of Special Plans in the shortest time possible and with the guarantees and rights for all residents of different areas.
It aims to expedite the project development to facilitate the construction of small housing developments or single family homes in certain areas of the municipality.
