Start record for the granting of title to the writer Adoptive Daughter Carmen Montero Medina
The Plenum of the City of Murcia has agreed this morning to grant the title of Son of the city of Murcia Monsignor José Manuel Lorca Planes.
It also approved the award of the Gold Medal of the city of Murcia Group Songs and Dances 'Salzillo Francisco Regional Association', and the Group of Songs and Dances 'Virgen de la Fuensanta' by the rock orchard San Isidro "The Panocha.
The Plenary also agreed to record the beginning of the license of Adoptive Daughter of the City of Murcia to the writer Carmen Montero Medina.
Carmen Montero Medina
Born in the town of Almonte in Huelva in 1953, Carmen Montero Medina moving to Murcia in 1985.
Although literary career starts privately years ago, is in 1992 when he began the publication of his works and, therefore, the dissemination of their creative abilities.
With the publication of the end, the light begins an intense literary production reached in February this year 2010 the number of 40 works published between poems, aphorisms, stories, essays, novels and even two CDs and poems recited to music.
His literary career includes also participation in various competitions and contests at the regional, national and international, having become a finalist for the Award for Letters from the Region of Murcia in 2001 and won the first runners-up of the VII International Competition Poetry in Paris.
The foundation that bears his name, at the state, was born on 23 May 2007 to promote reading habits and to bring and disseminate the work of writers, both Murcia and from other sources, through the presentation of his books, meetings and dialogues with citizens, the creation of literary tours and literary competitions organized.
The beginning of the procedure is supported by sixteen thousand signatures.
