The International Folk Festival will host an extensive program of dance, music, movies, seminars, exhibitions and conferences (28/07/2010)

This year marks the 43rd event of a declared of regional interest

The International Folklore Festival in the Mediterranean, declared of Regional Tourist Interest, to be held from 6 to September 10, 2010, celebrating its 43rd edition, which makes it the longest of all festivals are held not only in the city of Murcia and the Murcia region but also in Spain.

Folklore Festival in the Mediterranean acts as an integrating element between the different federations and associations of folklore, working with all of them, based solely on the quality factor for the selection of participating groups.

In order to get their roots in the city and citizens, and have a strong popular and proximity to the people, the festival will once again get the approximation of folklore to the public by presenting an easy and enjoyable, while that people bring to their area, trying to achieve a symbiosis with the city.

Also, the contents of the festival are divided into blocks: choirs and dance groups performing on different streets and squares, as well as headquarters of the festival stage, exhibitions, which complement and will equip the festival its foundation and reason be, studies and papers on folklore that will generate a seminar and a database for researchers of folklore, traditional folk performances to promote traditional elements of our city or region and as a recovery will undertake traditional type readings, recitations, dialogues ... taking as central the sea, and in particular the Mediterranean.

There will be dancing folklore groups participating in the main city in the afternoon of the festival, surprising people in their walk, before proceeding to carry on center stage in University Square, interacting with the public and inviting him to dance ..

El Mar "

Manuel Belzunce painters, Antonio Ballester, Esteban Bernal, Carmen Cantabella, Ana Martínez, Emilio Pascual, Manuel Pérez, Eduardo Pérez Salgado, Rubén Zambudio, and Antonio Miguel Fructuoso Martínez Mengual will meet at the Plaza Cardenal Belluga to paint his vision to the public on Sea, Mediterranean theme of the exhibition.
