The Municipal People's demands in Parliament that will meet the deadlines for the construction of the highway Reguerón (28/07/2010)

The Spokesman of the Municipal People's Party, Nuria Fuentes, presented tomorrow to the House a motion demanding the Ministry of Development that meets the deadlines for the construction of the highway Reguerón and not carry out the decision to cancel the infrastructure, as announced Minister José Blanco last week.

Fuentes, Councilman Infrastructure and Community Services, Jose Arce, explained that the removal of the highway Reguerón is a great disservice to the town by eliminating the ring road of the city by the south-east, negating the possibility to improve communications from the southern coastal districts such as El Palmar, La Alberca, Santo Angelo, Algezares, Los Garres, San José de la Vega, Beniaján, TorreagĂźera, Los Ramos and Zeneta.

After years of promises and the start of construction of the highway Reguerón, Zapatero's government back to punish the region, eliminating an infrastructure that is essential for the development of the southern city of Murcia.

Fuentes recalled that at the plenary on June 24, the Municipal People's Party has filed a motion demanding that the cuts of the National Government did not affect the Reguerón highway, which was rejected by the Municipal Socialist Group.

Moreover, the harm caused to the county communications cessation of such work, joined the helplessness in which they have been more than 1,800 affected by the works of the motorway, which are in a situation of legal uncertainty and legal since the only information they have is for the media and the Ministry still has not communicated the decision to abolish the highway officially.

Those affected by the highway are in the following situations:

-45 Homes have been demolished.

The owners have not taken on even and neither are scheduled to receive their compensation.

These families have purchased another home as his has been expropriated and demolished, and are paying mortgage without having received any financial compensation from the Ministry, with the situation of anguish and despair it brings.

"Another good number of people affected has signed the certificate of occupancy of their homes and have not yet received all the compensation they deserve.

These are families who have also purchased a new home, and that theirs was to be demolished soon, and they have to deal with a mortgage without receiving any compensation.

"Other affected, in anticipation that their home would be expropriated, have bought a new house and are now two houses which can not cope.

"A fourth case is that landowners who have signed the certificate of occupancy, receiving around 1,000 euros per tahullas, and who have stopped cultivating their land.

Most of these owners are about two tahullas.

Arce sources and insist that it is an indispensable work for the municipality, which has designed many years and that the Zapatero government has removed unilaterally.

Also, the Selectmen are wondering what will happen to projects such as highway-Zeneta Santomera, the northern arc axis and the third lane of the motorway between Murcia and Alicante, on which they are silent.

The highway infrastructure is Reguerón linking with the motorway El Palmar Santomera-San Javier, at the height of Stables, with an investment of more than 240 million euros.
