Until puberty there is no difference in physical performance of children as one of the conclusions of the study by professors at the University of Murcia Ernesto de la Cruz Sanchez and Jose Pino Ortega.
The research conducted by these teachers of the Faculty of Sport Sciences has concluded that at early ages children have the same physical performance "when they have the same lifestyle."
To carry out the study, the authors have taken into account factors such as lifestyle, environment and cultural and social roles, as well as reflecting the same in sports at this age.
"We did not notice, says the study, differences in the physical condition of children who perform a similar activity, except in joint mobility, which is always higher for women."
According to the researchers, "within ten years of age could be raised without differentiating sports by sex."
The research results are published in specialized scientific "Antropologicum Collegium."
