Valcárcel stresses that the construction of this center, which will be completed in one year, is the best example of work developed by local and regional administration, because "there is no social investment that invested in health"
The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, today placed the first stone of the new district Health Center Murcia Santiago El Mayor, in the construction and equipping the regional government will invest more than four million euros.
This infrastructure is designed to serve a population of 15,000 inhabitants, which provide health care to the district health Murcia, Santiago El Mayor, which also includes the district of Saint Pius X, San Benito, and part of the Barrio del Progreso and Patiño.

The plot for the construction of this building has been released by the city of Murcia, and has a total area of 4,350 square meters on two floors and a basement, located between the streets and mulberry General Ortín.
The center will be completed within a year and have a consultation area, which comprises 11 family health services, three of pediatrics, one of dentistry, a dental hygienist, 11 nurses, two children, a minor surgery room, nursery room, additional consultation and cures for extractions and 10 modules waiting rooms.
The area of women and social work have antenatal clinic, social worker's office, multipurpose room and two waiting rooms.
It is ready to offer the services of maternal education, preparation for childbirth and family planning, as well as child-care program.
The new infrastructure will also be kinesitherapy area with therapist consultation, boxes of treatment and waiting rooms.
These facilities will link the premises for staff, administration area and general services.
The center also will have a data network, which will allow the use of computerized medical record.
This internal computer network connects all departments together and with other healthcare facilities.
