Alarcón Cascales requests to explain what use is being made of the facilities of the Old Condomina (20/07/2010)

The PSOE spokesman regretted the delay of a project necessary for the residents of the Santa Eulalia, San Juan, La Paz, La Fama and Vistabella, among others, who do not have any sports facility in the area, can have a fun-sports area of 30,000 m2 of building space that has crippled four years

Socialist spokeswoman, Maria José Alarcón, demand an explanation from Councillor for Sports, Miguel Cascales, on the use of the Old Condomina stadium, a space that has already closed four years and is currently used as the Cascales itself has acknowledged in a written reply sent to the Socialist Group.

In this sense, Alarcon also asked the Councillor for Sports, through an internal communication, information on the annual costs that the city of Murcia is supported by the maintenance of such facilities and about which groups in sports who are using the said space at the moment, times and frequency with which they do.

Likewise, the Socialist spokesman denounced the delay in the time of a project, from Old Condomina, the PB included in its 2007 election program for the creation of a large sports center in the area.

In this sense, Alarcón regrets the lack of initiative, laziness and apathy of the municipal PP on this space of 30,000 m2, unused for four years in an area where residents have no sports facilities.

"The PP can not continue to delay a key project such as this from which to offer the citizens of the neighborhoods Santa Eulalia, San Juan, La Paz, La Fama and Vistabella, among others, quality services which in turn generate activity in urban enclaves, easy access, can become poles of attraction of wealth and employment "ends.
