Antonio Tapia Fair portrays a picture that meets four figurative arts (14/07/2010)

Four forms of representation are grouped under the sign of this year's Feria de Murcia, Murcia work of Antonio Tapia.

The painting symbolizes the fair image reflected on the front of City Hall annex building, as well as increases in attracting people who seem to happily fly over the city.

El cartel de la Feria de Murcia September 2010 is made in a format of 140x100 cm, acrylic on canvas textured.

The table facing the grounds of the fair from four different kinds of representation: hyper-realistic, with the Town Hall annexe and flat base; Impressionist, through a representative scene of the show that is drawn behind the wall of the building, pop-art in the figures of the swing plane flying over the building looking for an effect of movement and a break with reality, and finally, realistic, with cracks that break the total time creating an atmosphere that unifies the various planes.

The intention is to link the representation of an item identifier and main city of Murcia is the building designed by Rafael Moneo, to the timelessness of the image that is repeated every day in every fair from anywhere and the illusion represented by swings where people pretend to fly, opening his arms to the wind and joy.

Finally, the mist generated by the cracks and glazes suggests the fantasy that occurs in our mind, recalling similar past experiences.

Antonio Tapia is a member of CROM4, along with Christopher Perez, Nono García and Pepe Montijo.

Has conducted international workshops with Antonio López, Pedro Cano and Peter Lucas and solo exhibitions in Spain and France and group exhibitions in venues and fairs in the region.
