"Sustainable Aquaculture and the Environment" course is the name of the Universidad Internacional del Mar to be held in Cartagena from 19 and 23 July.
According to officials of the course, aquaculture now faces a major challenge: meeting the expectations of relieving pressure from fishing fleets on stocks and at the same time, to meet the increasing demand for marine products local and international market without harming the environment.
"To avoid any impact on the environment, he said, is important from the aquaculture sector has clear guidelines, concise, scientifically based to ensure sustainable development activity."
In this sense, the course aims to train professionals specialized in environmental and sustainable aquaculture to develop their work on behalf of the productive sector and scientific.
The activity is directed by Remiro Javier Preciado, Director of the Foundation OESA, has a duration of 30 hours, and will be held at the premises of the Social Work of the CAM, C / Mayor s / n. Cartagena.
Those students who register will be entitled to three free credits.
