The rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Felix Faure, has described as "very positive" selection in the national phase of the "Mare Nostrum" with which both institutions have attended Call the Campus of International and is among the fourteen elected by a technical committee.
During a joint press conference by both guiding the building of Convalescence, Faure and Cobacho have indicated that this selection is in the economic field to receive grants amounting to 540,000 euros and at the same time be able to participate in Phase international call.
Cobacho has had phases of thanks to the central and regional administrations, trade unions and employers and to all those who have shown their support for the project "Mare Nostrum".
The Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of Murcia, Juan María Vázquez, the project has indicated that the two universities will present to the international stage must be submitted before 19 September next, and that the defense thereof shall be held one month after .
Vazquez added that the project "Mare Nostrum" is a great "strength" but also indicated that "anyway, we must be careful, because the competition will be very hard."
For its part, the general director of the Autonomous University, Eduardo Osuna, said that "this is a very important strategic project not only for universities but also for the region, and establishing a center of attraction for students, teachers, researchers and businesses. "
