Local archaeologists (08/07/2010)

The Department of Culture of the Municipality of Murcia, who heads Fátima Barnuevo, remains active in summer, and now it's time for the little ones.

Among the various workshops organized at local museums, we stress that has to do with archeology organized in Space río_ Mills Stables, this July.

The aim with this activity is to promote respect for our heritage, the importance of conservation and outreach to all the assets or contributes daily rehabilitation to regain the city of Murcia.

A total of fifteen children of Murcia have participated, from 6 to 8 July in the meeting that three meetings with them have wanted to delve into history and into the adventure that each historic building and the rest can reveal.

The workshop, on his first day, are introduced to the basics of archeology its working methods and its goals.

In addition, children know a dig and draw the pieces found.

The second day, they can learn about the various historical societies that have inhabited our territory through the centuries, including the wonderful paintings.

And finally, the little ones will see their city through different eyes, Murcia, and know it a landmark building as Hydro Museum.

The activity is interactive and it's little fun to create an environment in which there are plenty of cultural references to books, movies, comics ...

The workshop will take place on 20, 21 and 22 July, 11 to 14 h.
