The University of Murcia has received the Award for Sustainable Development, convened by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, by activities throughout the course takes place within the program "Sustainable Campus."

The award has been given, especially, for their work and environmental awareness through their actions, promoting savings and promoting energy efficiency, use alternative transportation and the information kiosk located in the Plaza of Sustainability .

Picking this distinction, the Vice Chancellor for Economic and Infrastructure thanked the cooperation received from the university community that the draft Sustainable Campus every day is a shared reality.
