The UMU hosts the 1st International Congress on Challenges of equality between women and men on the 2020 horizon (25/04/2018)

On April 26 and 27, the Hemicycle of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Murcia hosts the 1st International Congress "Challenges of equality between women and men on the horizon 2020".

The initiative will be presented at 9 in the morning in an act that will be chaired by the Rector of the UMU.

José Luján, in which he will be accompanied by Rosa Peñalver, President of the Regional Assembly of Murcia;

Alicia Barquero Sánchez, General Director of Women and Equality of Opportunities of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia;

Mª del Carmen López Aniorte, Co-Director of the Congress and Professor of the Department of Labor Law and Social Security of the University of Murcia, and Eva María Rubio Fernández, Co-Director of the Congress and Director of the Unit for Equality between Women and Men of the University of Murcia.

The conference will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the conference "Own rooms, spaces of the common, by Marifé Santiago Bolaños, Professor of Aesthetics and Theory of Arts of the Rey Juan Carlos University, and will close on the 27th April at 12'15 pm with the conference "The constitutional doctrine on gender and equality", by María Emilia Casas Baamonde, Professor of Labor Law and Social Security by the Complutense University of Madrid and President of the Court Constitutional.

Between both interventions, the Congress will offer fifteen conferences and several round tables related to women and gender equality.

The Congress is organized by the Unit for Equality between Women and Men of the UMU.
