The Faculty of Social Work of the University of Murcia, the Cajamurcia Foundation and the Volunteer Platform of the Region of Murcia have made public this morning the XIX Edition of the Prize to the Anonymous Solidarity.

The City Council of Murcia and the Antonio Campillo Foundation also collaborate in the initiative.

The presentation has taken place at the Las Claras Cultural Center of the Cajamurcia Foundation, and María Paz García-Longoria, Dean of the School of Social Work of the UMU, has been present there;

Roberto Barceló Vivancos, President of the Volunteer Platform of the Region of Murcia, and Mª José Funes Meseguer, winner of last year's edition.

The event was also attended by Conrado Navalón Vila, Secretary of the Faculty of Social Work of UMU and Cristina Abellán Alarcón, representing the Cajamurcia Foundation, Mª José Noguera Egea, by the City of Murcia, as well as other members of the Volunteer Platform of the Region of Murcia and voluntary associations.

The aim of the Anonymous Solidarity Award is to recognize the solidarity, humanitarian and disinterested activity carried out on a regular basis by individuals and social entities and that to date have not received public recognition for their work.

The presentation of the candidatures may be made until October 31st.

The award ceremony, which will consist of a sculpture made by the artist Antonio Campillo, Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Murcia, will take place at a public event to be held in the month of December 2018.
