The Councilors of Sport and Health, Felipe Coello, and of Social Rights and Development Cooperation, Conchita Ruiz, presented this morning the Championship of Spain for Young Women that takes place in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from May 1 to May 5, 2018.
An event in which the 2018 regional champion will be present, the Murcia Voley Club, representing not only the city of Murcia, but the entire Region and which is organized by the CV JAV Olympic club and the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation, and that will gather 32 teams that will be distributed in eight groups of four, to make the first selection.
"We are fortunate to have a young and future team in our city, for girls who train throughout the year to reach the top and who want to take the name of Murcia throughout Spain," said Felipe Coello.
"The Murcia Voley Club players are another example of the effort and work that thousands of young Murcia are doing to reach the top, an example of overcoming that should serve to encourage many others to compete and fight to become models to follow ", added Conchita Ruiz.
The team is composed of Inmaculada Sánchez (libero), Lucía Sánchez (central), Marina Parra (four), Mari Paz Díaz (four), Ainhoa ​​Muñoz (opposite), Elena Torraba (setter), Anna Gushina (central), María José Muñoz (setter), Laura Sánchez (four), Lola Guillén (four), Laura Martínez (central), Ana Brugarolas (opposite), Mercedes Nieto (libero), Pilar Egea (opposite), Andrea Rosales (four), Coach: Day García-Calvo, Second coach: Bea Valera.
