The Murcia can already present their suggestions for improvement of the municipal website (15/04/2018)

An online survey is now available at www.murcia.es to identify opportunities for improvement at the design and usability level of the City Council's portal.

This initiative is part of a large participation process in which technicians, international experts and political groups have been involved and which now extends to users

The Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development has opened the public consultation for the improvement of the website of the City Council.

Through an online survey, available on the home page of www.murcia.es, Murcia can already present their experience and point of view in order to identify opportunities for improvement at the design and usability level, which will have an impact on future adaptations of the municipal website.

Councilman José Guillén explained that "the City of Murcia, continuing with its strategy of putting the citizen at the center of municipal action and as part of the line of work for the evolution and modernization of the municipality, has executed a project to develop a study that identifies the best way to evolve the municipal website using user experience methodologies ".

Thus, these user experience techniques try to establish the same address when locating and understanding the needs of the City Council.

To do this, it interacts with different types of users in a way that identifies and shares the same objective.

During the execution of the project, a total of several work sessions were carried out with several dynamics each.

A session with the current political groups focused on communication, where questions were answered such as: what is the goal of the portal, how to achieve it and in what way? Who is it for?

or what attributes should the portal define?

Another was carried out with the citizen service department, where the needs of the users were detected and opportunities to improve the portal were identified.

In addition, and taking advantage of the last session of the European initiative Urbact held in Murcia, it was wanted to include experts from more than 13 countries invited to collaborate in a specific session.

In it, they put themselves in the shoes of citizens of Murcia to identify needs and provide different ideas and points of view.

This open and participatory survey is the last part of the project, and with all the information obtained a report of results will be prepared and presented with the guidelines and suggestions to be adopted for the future web of the City Council
