The auditorium of the Faculty of Economics and Business hosts this morning, at 12 noon, the closing of the regional phase of the IX Olympiad of Economics.

The Economy Olympics of the Region of Murcia are aimed at those students of second year of baccalaureate enrolled in the subject of Business Economics of the secondary schools of the Murcia Region.

It is an academic and educational contest that aims to stimulate the study of economics and business among young people, reward academic effort and excellence, and establish stable links between university education and other educational levels.

All participants will receive a certificate of their participation and the first three classified will participate in the X National Olympiad of Economics, representing the Region of Murcia.

This action is the result of the call of'Assistance to the organization of Scientific Olympics of the Region of Murcia' funded by the Ministry of Employment, Universities and Enterprise of the CARM, through the Seneca Foundation.

Antonio Juan García Fernández, Vice Chancellor of Research of the UMU, will intervene in the act;

Juan Monzó Cabrera, General Director of Universities and Research of the CARM;

Nuria Nevers Esteban, Vice Dean of Students and Employability of the Faculty of Economics and Business;

Ramón Madrid Nicolás, Dean of the Official Association of Economists of the Region of Murcia;

and Antonio González Valverde, Director of the Seneca Foundation.
