The Catholic University of Murcia has welcomed this morning the beginning of the seminar 'The history of advertising told from the beginning' in which the founder of the Center of Advertising Documentation, Sergio Rodríguez and which has been organized by the Faculty of Communication.
The event was attended by students from the degrees in Journalism, Audiovisual Communication and, above all, Advertising and Public Relations.
It is a seminar that has covered the history of both national and international advertising for 200 years, that is, since its inception.
"Today we are surrounded by publicity from the moment we get up until we go to bed unconsciously, in all the acts that the human being develops on a daily basis, the brands are there in a more or less latent way. from the street and the human being can certainly not escape from it "Sergio Rodríguez highlighted.
Advertising has evolved during its life period adapting to changes and society, and with this has been achieved that the consumer is the axis of everything for the first time since the Internet appears.
In this regard, the speaker assured that "currently the consumer is the one who sets the guidelines and this is something that had not happened before, the arrival of the Internet has allowed a direct connection between the public and brands."
