The Industrial Park West will be better lit at the beginning of next summer (07/04/2018)

The City of Murcia, in its commitment to continue improving work and production in the industrial estates of the municipality, promotes lighting improvement projects in the Western Industrial Estate, Cabezo de Torres and Guadalupe.

The works in the West Industrial Estate consist of the replacement of 377 sodium vapor luminaires with LED technology, replacing and repairing the columns that are in poor condition.

Likewise, 13 points of the polygon's garden area, 23 metal poles and five remote control centers will be replaced, and different channels and manholes will be repaired.

This eliminates the current installation that is around forty years old, so it has a very low light output and produces, by its configuration, great light pollution and high energy consumption.

In addition some staffs are very deteriorated.

The total power after the renovation will be 38 kW, while current is 105 kW.

These works will save 51,000 euros per year, which means a reduction of 65%.

In addition, the emission of CO2 into the atmosphere is reduced by 141 tons, from 221 to 80 tons.

The works will be carried out by Ferrovial Servicios with a budget of 127,772 euros and an execution period of four months.

Regarding the works that will be carried out in the main street and Cid Street of Cabezo de Torres, will consist of the installation of 11 LED lights of last generation of 43 W. of power on metal poles of 8.20 meters high, as well as a new connection to the existing Command Center.

The works will be carried out by the company Elecnor, SA for an amount of 8,802.74 euros

Finally, the lighting in the Almazara Lane and the Torre de los Lorentes de Guadalupe Crossing will be reinforced and improved.

The Lane of the Oil Mill is a parallel lane to the West Round, with high flow of traffic and that is illuminated through the points installed on the highway, insufficiently.

Therefore, 24 luminaires with LED technology, 44.5 W of power, will be installed, taking advantage of the columns and power lines of the highway.

The crossing of Torre de los Lorentes runs between the nucleus of Guadalupe and the Carril de la Almazara and does not have public lighting.

There will be installed 26 luminaires with LED technology, 44.5 W of power on existing columns or facades as well as on metallic poles of 8.20 meters high as required.

Likewise, a new Command Center will be placed.

The budget amounts to 35,496 euros and the winning company is Electromur, SA

To this we must add that the asphalting project on Calle Juan de la Cierva, in the Polígono Oeste, is already under contract.

A performance that exceeds 50,000 euros and that will improve the state of one of the roads that is in worse condition.
