The Contracting Committee, chaired by the Councilor for Finance and Contracting, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, has opened this morning the economic offers of the 9 companies that attend the maintenance service of public lighting and low and medium voltage facilities of municipal ownership.
Thus, it has been determined to exclude a company for not reaching the minimum threshold required while six incur reckless leave so their offers will have to be valued by municipal technicians.
In this contract the City will invest a maximum of 17,296,973 euros for a period of three years, extendable for another three years.
The new contract includes new features that the current one did not foresee, such as the electrical maintenance of buildings and municipal buildings and public schools and the measures to increase energy efficiency, replacing existing points with others of LED technology, and reducing light pollution.
It also requires greater specialization in the maintenance of ornamental lighting, which requires a specialist in programming of lighting scenes, such as those offered by the building attached to the City Council, and in temporary facilities for events.
The awardee will have to maintain the electrical installations of public lighting, municipal premises, public schools, municipal transformation centers, and eventual activities promoted or sponsored by the City of Murcia.
Likewise, it will be in charge of maintaining public lighting of roads, pedestrian zones and gardens, carrying out inspections both day and night, conserving facilities, lighting, lines, supports and civil works, repairing faults, damages or breakages, fixing the damages suffered by the installations due to theft, vandalism, force majeure or catastrophes beyond the facilities, cleaning and control of on and off, among other actions.
In addition, permanent services will be established to attend incidents throughout the 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
On the other hand, the Contracting Committee has also proposed the award of the construction of the dissuasive parking on the surface next to the access ramp to Ronda Norte to Transportes y Triturados de Murcia SL, for an amount of 115,702 euros.
The surface deterrent parking, provided next to the access route of Ronda Norte, will have a capacity for 80 vehicles.
It is a new concept of social public parking that will be the first of these characteristics throughout the Region and one of the first in Spain.
Its use will be free, although drivers can provide a voluntary contribution to the Murcian Association of Parents and Children with Spina Bifida, which will install a booth from which volunteers will disclose and report on this disease and the activity carried out by the association.
Its construction will offer a new parking area to residents of San Antón, Calle de las Norias, Calle Olof Palme and Calle Nueva de San Antón, and to users of different public services such as FREMM, Maestro José Castaño School or the Jesus and Mary school.
