The Emergency and Emergency Management 061 reinforces its resources to guarantee assistance in the Bando de la Huerta (02/04/2018)

The Community calls for citizen collaboration to facilitate the performance of health teams and enjoy the day without excess

Last year, 244 health care visits were made, of which 95 were ethylic poisonings

The Emergency and Emergencies Management 061 of the Region has organized a special device that reinforces its human and material resources to ensure proper healthcare tomorrow in Murcia, on the occasion of the celebration of Bando de la Huerta.

To address possible incidents, hospital emergency and outpatient services in the capital will be reinforced with two Medical Emergency Units (EMUs), made up of doctors, nurses and technicians in health emergencies.

In addition, a rapid intervention vehicle (VIR), equipped with a nurse and health emergency technician will be prepared to reach places of difficult access and provide health care there.

The Emergency Coordination Center (CCU) will also be reinforced with a coordinating doctor, a nurse and a technician in health emergencies.

The nurse coordinator of the CCU, designated exclusively for this event, will be in charge under the supervision of the chief medical coordinator of the guard, of the management of all matters related to the Bando de la Huerta.

This extraordinary device also has the collaboration of personnel from the General Directorate of Citizen Security and Emergencies, and volunteers from the Local Assembly of the Red Cross and Civil Protection of Murcia, who will work in coordination with professionals of the Murcian Health Service .

The purpose of this operation is "to be able to give immediate and effective attention to any event that may occur during the day of celebration of Bando de la Huerta," said the director of the Emergency and Health Emergency Management 061, Francisco Celdrán, who requested the cooperation of citizens to streamline the work of the professionals that make up this device.

Celdrán recalled that the majority of attentions in this festive day are caused by alcohol poisonings, wounds, syncopes or lipotimias and traumatisms.

In 2017, 244 health aids were performed, of which 95 were alcohol intoxications, with a greater incidence in ages between 15-35 years.

There are also three cases in children under 14 years of age.

Sixty percent of those served were men and 40 percent were women.

There were also 33 cases of injuries, 22 syncopes or lipotimias and 22 assists due to trauma, among others.

For this reason, Celdrán insisted on the "need to enjoy the day without excesses" and requested citizen collaboration to facilitate the action of health personnel during the day of Bando de la Huerta.

Increase of 1-1-2 device

The Ministry of Presidency and Development, through the Directorate General of Citizen Security and Emergencies, reinforces its security device, coordinated from the Emergency Center 1-1-2 Murcia, before the Spring Festival.

The staff working in the center increases by 17.4 percent, and the operations room of 1-1-2 will be composed these days by 27 people among call-center service personnel, Management Unit of Management Units of Emergencies and Sanitary Emergencies 061, Consortium of Fire and Rescue Extinction (CEIS) of the Region of Murcia, Device of Urgent Attention to Victims of Gender Violence, command and control operators, chief of operations, forest coordinator and responsible for information .
