The socialist spokesperson, Susana Hernandez, accompanied by councilors Juan Vicente Larrosa and Maite Espinosa, visited this morning the aforementioned center, after learning that the bricks had been detached from an external wall.

"Fortunately, it was at a time when the center was closed, so that everything could remain in an incident if it was not because it has revealed again the serious deficiencies that the school suffers and that parents have been complaining for years, "says Hernández.

In this regard and according to the parents, who remember that the latest reforms correspond to the 80s, "we have been asking for years to replace the roof, which is built of asbestos, the glass does not insulate and, or children go cold or spend a lot of heat , besides that the bathrooms are insane ".

Also, the students of Children are installed on the first floor, so, despite their young age, they have to be going up and down stairs, especially to go to the toilet, as they have transmitted to the socialist councilors.

Likewise, they have pointed out that the few arrangements that have been made in the school have been thanks to the parents themselves and the teachers, who, for example, have painted the center.

On this, the socialist spokesman has declared that "the people in charge of the PP believe that painting and changing the toilet tanks is enough, but it is clear that many of our centers need a comprehensive reform that adapts to the demands of the XXI century , even for security reasons. "

In addition, this center, according to Hernandez, "has not been able to enroll this course to 40 children, who have been left out because it has no space, another clear example of the PP encourages the free choice of centers, but only when it comes to prioritize to the concerted ones ".

For all these reasons, the socialist spokesperson affirmed that what happened today at the Colegio Virgen del Rosario "is a clear and palpable sample of the abandonment, and even negligence, on the part of our popular rulers towards the public school"
