This afternoon, at 7.30 pm, the auditorium of the Hydraulic Space Museum Molinos del Río Caballerizas, under the Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, will host the presentation of the Murcia platform of recent formation eWa -empowering women architects-, with an international character and whose main objective is to give visibility to the works carried out by women architects.
The eWa platform was born from the concern of two young architects from Murcia -Lorena Sánchez and Helia de San Nicolás- and their concern for the state of the architecture professionals in the country.
This platform aims to analyze and work on family reconciliation with the performance of the profession of architects, as well as highlighting the work done to date by different professionals in the field of design, claiming the impact that their work has had and has in architecture.
This initiative pursues both the strengthening of the collective and serving as a bridge between newly-titled and newly established architects in different professional fields.
Thus, the platform aims to become a space for the exchange of professional experiences, projects and works carried out by architects in order to give them visibility and to be able to share their results and conclusions.
This afternoon, in addition to the presentation of the association, the documentary Arquitectos (2015) by Argentinean architect Ariadna Cantis will be screened.
After the screening there will be a round table where different generations of architects and architects from Murcia will present their different points of view on the state of architecture today and share their experiences in the performance of their professional activity in different areas.
