The councilman of Cambiemos Murcia, Nacho Tornel, denounces that it is "irresponsible" that the Government Team suspends the school transport service for the activities of the educational program My City Teaches for not having renewed on time the contract with the company that executed it and ask schools now to be the ones to cover the expenses.
"The contracting service received in September a file for the renewal, but it was not possible to execute it due to the lack of human and material resources", explained Tornel, who recalled that this is a situation known to the Government Team, "but to which no solution is presented ".
"A city that has installed the largest Christmas tree in Spain or that invests in the granite of higher quality in the renovation of Alfonso X can not afford that its public schools do not have school transport for educational activities, which leaves it precarious the centers that do not have their own means, "said the councilor.
The contract, of 354,464 euros, was extendable to another year.
For training, municipal services continue to work in a situation of precariousness, fruit of the outsourcing and privatizing habit of the Popular Party for 24 years, which Ballesta not only has not corrected but maintains.
