The UCAM and FARMAFORUM join to offer a more qualified training in the pharmaceutical industry (26/02/2018)

The Catholic University and Farmaforum sign a collaboration agreement to offer students of the UCAM, training programs of this School, which incorporate technical, scientific and management, and important opportunities to perform practices in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and cosmetics industry

After the signed agreement, the students of the Degree in Pharmacy of the UCAM, will be able to benefit from practices in important companies of the sector both in Spain and abroad with the training programs organized by Farmaforum.

The qualifications with which students can complement their university education, are backed by the quality and extensive professional experience of their professors, in the companies with the best corporate reputation in the Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Biotechnological and Medical Devices sectors.

Pilar Zafrilla, vice-dean of the Degree in Pharmacy, considers that this agreement is very important for the students of Pharmacy of the UCAM and the future graduates, since among its objectives it is to offer to the students certain formative programs of the Farmaforum School, which incorporate technical, scientific and management innovations, as well as the best practices of the sector, backed by an impeccable and proven operational execution.

In addition, interested students will have the opportunity to complement the training with international programs in USA (Berkeley University).

Eduardo Sanz, managing partner of the company, has indicated that this firm will facilitate access to the labor market of students of the UCAM, with training courses in subjects necessary for the health branch such as finance, marketing or applied English, in which at times not enough has been deepened during the university career, and that must be reinforced, before joining a job.

In addition, the director of Farmaforum has insisted that, with the quality of this type of programs of one or two years, accompanied by internships in the US or Spain, postgraduate students will have all the possibilities of finding a quality job.

The agreement was signed this morning by José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, and Eduardo Sanz, managing partner of Farmaforum;

accompanied by Estrella Núñez, Vice Chancellor of Research of the UCAM, Luis Tejada, director of the OTRI and the management team of the Degree in Pharmacy: Pilar Zafrilla, Alejandro Galindo and Begoña Cerdá.

During the signing, Estrella Núñez, remarked that this framework agreement starts with some complementary training programs for students of the Degree in Pharmacy of our university, but that it will be expanded to give online training to students and professionals from all over the world.

In addition, the Vice Chancellor for Research, has pointed out that: "the potential of collaboration with Farmaforum to develop research projects in the health area, as well as teaching innovation projects in this field of knowledge is impressive. The company's staff researcher fits perfectly with the philosophy of our institution: training, research and innovation as a basis for sustainable development ".
